Hyperhidrosis(Feet)

Hyperhidrosis(Feet)

What is Hyperhidrosis?

Hyperhidrosis is a medical condition that affects millions of people worldwide. The excessive sweat in feet can cause skin irritation, corn and blisters. It is characterized by excessive sweating of the hands, feet, face, and other areas of the body. The amount of sweat produced is typically far greater than the amount of sweat necessary to regulate body temperature. The exact cause of hyperhidrosis is unknown, but it is thought to be due to a combination of genetic and environmental factors. There is evidence to suggest that it can be caused by an overactive sympathetic nervous system. This system is responsible for regulating heart rate, blood pressure, and sweating.

What to expect?
Dr.Voss will ask you about any medications you are taking, as well as any medical conditions you may have that could interfere with the procedure. After that, your skin will be cleaned and a topical anesthetic will be applied to the treatment area to reduce any discomfort. Once the area is numb, the doctor will inject right amount of Botox into skin. Depending on the area being treated, a series of injections may be needed. The entire procedure usually takes less than 15 minutes.

What to avoid?

First and foremost, it’s important to give your skin some time to heal after botox. Immediately after the procedure, you should avoid any strenuous activities that could cause you to break out in a sweat. This includes exercise, hot showers or baths, and activities that might cause your face to become overly warm. You should also avoid touching or rubbing the area that was injected with botox. Doing so can disrupt the healing process and increase the risk of infection and migration. He will explain orally everything you should avoid after the treatment.

What are the advantages?

The primary benefit of hyperhidrosis for feet is improved foot health. Excessive sweat can cause the feet to become wet and slippery, leading to an increased risk of blisters, corns, and other skin irritations. By reducing the amount of sweat produced in the feet, these skin problems can be reduced or avoided. Additionally, the reduced amount of sweat can help to prevent fungal and bacterial infections, such as athletes foot, which can be painful and difficult to treat. Another benefit of hyperhidrosis for feet is improved comfort. Excessive sweating can cause the feet to become excessively hot and uncomfortable, leading to a decrease in physical activity. By reducing the amount of sweat produced, the feet can remain cooler and drier, reducing the overall level of discomfort.
